Don’t make the mistake of thinking “a keyboard is a keyboard.” You’ll be surprised to know that many of those iPad keyboards don’t have shortcut keys. Also the keys are so closely placed together that it’s hard to type.

So here are a few things to look for when deciding on the best keyboard for your iPad:

1. How much space is between each key?

The primary purpose of a keyboard is to type on it. So make sure you get a keyboard that you’ll actually use and want to type on without cramping up your hands. Comfort is so important when it comes to buying the right keyboard. Don’t compromise.
2. How difficult is the keyboard to sync up via bluetooth to your iPad?

Your keyboard should work seamlessly with your iPad. It should be easy to enable it and there should be no lag between the time your finger hits the key and the time the words appear on your iPad. It should be very responsive to your commands.
3. Does the keyboard have shortcut keys?

You might not realize it, but when you use your keyboard, you don’t just type words.
You need shortcut keys to get your job done. This is especially the case of your iPad is your first Apple product. You may be used to using your keys. Nothing is more frustrating than trying to get used to a different way of doing something than the habitual ways you’ve been doing them. 4. Does the keyboard have backlights?

Trying to type in the dark is difficult. Backlit keys can make all of the difference. Don’t strain your eyes trying to make sure your fingers are placed correctly on the keyboard. Don’t worry about finding that key you just don’t have memorized. Get a keyboard with backlit keys. 5. Does your keyboard attach to your iPad or do you have to carry it separately?

One of the great things about an iPad is that it’s a self contained. You can get all you need with one little device. However what if your keyboard doesn’t attach to your iPad? Then you’ll need to carry them separately. There are keyboards that come with cases so you can keep your iPad and keyboard together. There are also magnetic options where your keyword sticks to your iPad.

I hope this help you. Make sure you don’t kill your iPad experience by purchasing the wrong keyboard.

It all started on the 12th October 2011 when apple released the much anticipated ‘Newsstand’ app. From that date onward, i had an icon burning my eyes every time i used my iPhone. Sure, the app is probably great if you wish to invest a lot of money into subscribing to digital magazines, but what if you don’t? Why apple, why didn’t you give us the option to delete this app, or as a compromise place it in a folder just to hide it?

And so, my conquest started in trying to fill all those empty shelves. There are various routes to do this. As mentioned above, have your credit card ready and subscribe to all your favorite magazines. However, I decided I wanted the low cost option, and if possible, totally free.

The first app I installed was one called ‘eBook world iMag’ by ‘Tri Active Media Ltd’. It was top in app purchases in September and August of 2012. It has 4 and a half stars with currently 16 ratings.

Ok, so i paid £1.50 for the app, but I couldn’t recommend it enough. It has this really cool feature called ‘Pocketmags’ which allows you to access the material wherever you are on nearly any device you could possibly own. If you are familiar with the kindle experience, this is what pocketmags is replicating. So far i’ve tried reading eBook world of iMag on my PC, Macbook air and my iPad and it all went swimmingly. I’m even told it works on android, god forbid if you actually use that however.

eBook world of iMag itself is basically an app that displays upcoming trailers for new ebooks. I find this is great. One of the problems i find with buying ebooks, and traditional books for that matter, is that there is not much to go buy when browsing except for reviews (Which usually contain spoilers) and the blurb on the back of the book (Which is usually no shame self advertising). So this is where eBook world of iMag really shines.

If you would like to try eBook world of iMag, feel free to download it following the link below:

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ebook-world-imag/id543895544?ls=1&mt=8

A free and addictive game that hit the app store earlier this year has been pulled in Saudi Arabia due to having sounds that are too ‘explicit’. Find the press release below:

On Wednesday 21st March 2012 the Shoe Wars iPhone application was withdrawn from purchase in Saudi Arabia merely a day after the up-to-date version of the overall game went live.

This decision was made following feedback that the female character’s jumping effect was considered “too sexual” and could cause cultural offence.

An altered version from the application is going to be obtainable in Saudi Arabia, in April without the objectionable content.

http://itunes.apple.com/application/id505430756?mt=8

**********************************************************************************

“High heels never fit correctly. Even one of Cinderella’s fell off.”

**********************************************************************************

“Shoe Wars” are raging on! “Shoe Wars” is really a side scrolling platform game released to download on iTunes, in which the goal of the overall game is for gamers to invest as much as possible on their own charge cards within the SW mall and end up being the best shopper.

Within this fabulously addictive infinite game you will not have the ability to stop playing, as gamers are able to spend as much as they want. Each game begins at .00 and the player who spends the most on their own card wins. Discover the charge card limit increase to become powered up through the overall game.

**********************************************************************************

The game is recommended by us at iPhone 5 wishlist – even if it is just to laugh at the comedic sounds.

The title of this post isn’t really a fact, but more of a question. New iPhone 5 rumours have emerged to suggest that the new iPhone 5 is on its way. 9to5 Mac state that their reliable source straight from Foxcon (The factory in China which apple uses to produce its products) suggested that the next iPhone, which is being called the iPhone 5, has now started production. A worthy note from the source, is that apparently the next iPhone will come in various forms, and so a picture tease of the new iPhone isn’t possible, as of yet.

However, a few similarities among the said versions are a 4 inch display, different design to the iPhone 4s and no tear drop design. The source noted that the new iPhone is wide and longer than the current iPhone – which you would expect from a 4 inch screen, due to it being bigger than what the current iPhone has.

If the rumours are to be true, we can expect to see the iPhone 5 getting launched in the summer of 2012, just in time for the WWDC. This would also fit into similar release dates of previous iPhones.

So, what do we think? Looking forward to a bigger screen and new form factor? Certainly will be interesting once hardware specs start being leaked.

There’s been a lot of people reporting that their iPhone home button is unresponsive, acts slow and just down right doesn’t feel like it used to.

However, iPhone 5 Wish List has a how to guide on how to fix this, in 3 simple steps.

The steps are as follows:

Open a stock app that came with your phone (Maps for example).

Hold the power button until you get the ‘Slide to power off’ message.

Now release the power button and hold your home button lightly for a few seconds.

If all goes well, your phone will revert back to your home screen and the stock app you launched will now be closed. Welcome back a fresh, new, responsive home button!

If you find on step 3 that your iPhone is switching to the voice control (The standard command for holding down the home button) you are holding the home button too hard. Just a gentle hold is all that is needed here.

Enjoy!

The BBC has now launched iPlayer for the iPhone which. I know, i know; you’re thinking this isn’t hot news at all…. but it is. It now supports 3G in the UK! This means not only can you read eBooks and listen to songs on your iPhone; you can also stream UK TV shows wherever you are.

It also gives you the option to listen to BBC Radio such as my favourite, Radio 1.

The 3G streaming supports the iPhone 3GS model and up. The BBC has said that quality will depend on signal strength and speed, but that they have worked closely with UK networks to optimise the experience as best they can.

You can download the app from the app store now.

It is believed to be hitting stateside soon, but won’t have all the features as the UK version – finally something we’ve got that is better than theirs.

After reports and comments from numerous discontented users pointed out that iPhone 4S has serious problems with battery life, Apple engineers now make an attempt to diagnose and resolve the challenge.

One user who conveyed his discontent with power life, dropping dramatically with 10% each and every hour in standby told the Guardian that a senior Apple engineer got into contact with him. Apple representative specifically looked for the disgruntled user after studying his post and asked lots of questions about the iPhone trying to figure out what was wrong and naturally, Apple engineer asked an individual to install a file on his phone to be able to help diagnose the problem.

Apparently, this is not when, Apple technical teams ask this from iPhone 4S customers. It seems not only that Apple admits the challenge with battery life is real, but also, that Apple doesnt have a clue about a solution. The fact that the monitoring the faulting phones starts at the moment, could indicate that an analysis is far from offered.

iPhone 4S users lamented on technology websites and on Apple since beginning about poor battery life. So far, Apple declined to touch upon the situation and technology writers ended up with various solutions trying to help. Most of them suggested closing all historical past app, including Siri, Localization, disconnecting Wi-Fi or Bluetooth you should definitely in use. Without at fault being found, some held accountable the battery issues with faulted contacts imported from Apples MobileMe or iCloud solutions, or from Googles Clients list. If the problem lies here, to address the circumstances users should delete and reinstall them in order to fix the problem.
